A high-end furniture store that moved from downtown New Orleans to Jefferson Parish has reopened.
Arhaus, a national chain that offers luxury home goods, is now open in Metairie's Lakeside Shopping Center.
No other new stores are yet planned for the mall in 2024, said spokesperson Shelly Lauman, but recently lululemon, Mignon Faget, Nola Living and Steve Madden relocated to bigger spaces.
Arhaus currently occupies a 14,000-square-foot space next to Dillard's with two entrances, from inside the mall and from the parking lot on the Causeway Boulevard side.
"Partnering with Arhaus gives us the ability to expand our home furnishing offerings while also supporting a brand that directly designs and sources products from leading manufacturers and artisans around the world," said General Manager Lisa Manzella.
The Lakeside mall has over 100 stores and is still anchored by Dillard's, Macy's and J.C. Penney.
While traditional indoor malls have been closing across the country for years, Louisiana malls are seeing an uptick in business this holiday season.
