A Bellevue native and former elementary school teacher, Lauren Hull said she never imagined herself starting a YouTube channel or a furniture flipping business, but Hull says her life flipped when the pandemic hit. "The day before Thanksgiving 2020, we launched our first YouTube video," Hull said. "We called it 'Furniture Flipping Teacher.'"Hull, owner and founder of Four-Nir Furniture Co. said her YouTube channel's name was a play on words and a combination of her two passions, teaching and furniture flipping. Hull brought her audience along with her as she flipped piece after piece, while also helping teach her audience how they can flip furniture themselves. Now, three years later, the channel has been brought to life. "Here we are," Hull said. "I can't believe it. We've got our very first store."A hobby that was meant to fill spare time during the pandemic and help pay off student loans, is now Hull's full-time job."I felt like it was a little bit of a risk because I saw myself teaching for more than just three years, but I also felt like I had nothing to lose," Hull said. Hull decided to quit her teaching job and pursue furniture flipping and her YouTube channel full time, with the help of her boyfriend and business partner, Neiman Sneed. "It's cool being able to build something with another person and two puzzle pieces come together so well," Sneed said. Those puzzle pieces, formed into Four-Nir Furniture Co. A space to sell Hull's finished flips and to bring her YouTube teachings to life. "We're providing supplies for people to flip," Hull said. "We're supplying a space for people to come and feel empowered. We're furnishing people's homes with the furniture that we create."Saturday's grand opening, brought in students and fans from across the country, including Michele Patterson, a new furniture flipper from North Carolina."She [Hull} was probably the main inspiration for me to start furniture flipping," Patterson said. "I just binge-watched all of her videos, 'Okay, I really want to do this. How the heck do I do it?' And her videos are just top-notch."Despite nationwide recognition, Hull and Sneed said they knew they wanted to launch Four-Nir in Hull's hometown. "It's exactly why we kept it here in Bellevue, where she's from, because her life, she's had nothing but support from the community," Sneed said. Select pieces at Four-Nir can be customized. Alongside other home decor items, like bookends, Four-Nir Aromas, can also be found in the store. Four-Nir Aromas include candles, wax melts and reed diffusers. Four-Nir Furniture Co.'s hours will be announced on the Furniture Flipping Teacher Facebook page. The storefront can be found at 2219 Thurston Circle.
