SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A man was taken to the hospital after he was struck and pinned by a runaway wood chipper Wednesday morning in South Fayette Township.
READ MORE: Woodland Hills HS Principal: 'Any Student Who Makes False Threats, Reports Will Be Disciplined'According to Allegheny County Dispatch, just after 8:30 a.m., the equipment used to tow the wood chipper broke free and hit the man in the 300 block of Faucet Church Road.
A tree removal service used a second vehicle to move the wood chipper towing equipment, Cecil Township Police said.

OSHA is investigating the accident.
