This time it is big time right handed pitcher, Gage Wood out of Batesville, Ark. Wood is ranked in the top 500 in the Perfect Game college baseball prospect rankings and moving up fairly quick. He brings with him a fastball up to 93 miles per hour!
The reigning Arkansas Class 5A Co-Player of the Year had a very decorated senior year which included throwing 17 strikeouts in one game this season. Wood also threw 138 strikeouts during the 2021 season for Batesville High School. In his 66.2 innings pitched he only issued 19 walks and a .420 ERA.
Another stat that will wow you is his ability at the plate. He had a .350 batting average this season for the Diamond Pioneers.
Wood is commitment for the class of 2022 which currently ranks eighth in the nation.
