Best Ways To Farm Wood In Stardew Valley - TheGamer

sedar.indah.link

Wood is one of the basic resources in Stardew Valley. Although it may seem like the abundant amount of trees in the game will give you more Wood than you can count, it's actually not as easy to farm as you might think. Plus, you're going to need a lot of it to do most things during your playthrough of the game.

Wood is consistently needed throughout the game. If you visit Robin at the Carpenter's Shop, you'll notice most of the upgrades and farm buildings require a substantial amount of wood to build, usually between 150 and 550 Wood. On top of that, later in the game players can purchase the Community Upgrade at the Carpenter's Shop which not only costs half a million gold but also 950 Wood. Right at the start of the game, if you choose to complete the Community Center, you'll need to collect two stacks of 99 Wood. It is also needed to create charcoal, repair the Tide Pool Bridge, and make many of the craftables.

Unfortunately, there aren't any tricks when it comes to farming Wood in Stardew Valley. However, there are methods that can help you maximize the amount of wood you have at your disposal and how fast you can acquire the Wood.

Purchase Wood In Year One

During year one of the game, Robin will sell Wood for only 10 gold apiece. The price will go up to 50 gold in the second year, the same happens with stone. So, if you've got enough gold to spare, stockpiling Wood in the first year is not a bad way to spend your gold. If you want some help making more money, check out our money-making guide.

Plant Trees On Your Farm

You can plant trees on your farm. There are five stages of growth in the game. Each night there is a 20 percent chance that the tree will grow to the next stage. But, once it reaches stage four it'll take twice as long to grow.

Unlike fruit trees, regular trees don't have any placement restrictions. They will grow even if the land around them is occupied. Just be careful if you place them next to water as some of the wood might fall in once you chop it down.

Plant And Chop Down Trees Outside The Farm

You can chop down and collect wood from any trees you find outside the farm (except in Town). So, this includes the mountain, the Cindersap forest, the quarry, the railroad, the bus stop, and the backwoods right on the top exit of the player's farm.

Once chopped down, these trees have a 20 percent chance of reappearing overnight as a stage three tree. But, for this to happen, you have to break the tree stump as well, otherwise, it won't grow back.

You can also plant your own trees outside of the farm in any tillable ground square that hasn't been tilled. These trees will grow normally just like other farm trees.

Just Some Extra Tips

Take advantage of your lucky days. Fully cutting down a tree will give you anywhere from 18 to 24 Wood, the number will depend on your luck that day.

Use Tree Fertilizer as it will guarantee that the tree will grow a stage every night, except stage four when it takes twice as long. Tree Fertilizer also allows you to grow trees in the Winter, which is very valuable.
