“Roger Bland’s leadership of Southern Motion has been remarkable and his contributions to the business to create a unique, special order, motion business model will have a long-lasting impact,” said Rick Sullivan, Southern’s private-equity owner. “Bo Robbins, and his wife Alison, founded Fusion Furniture in 2009, building a robust, fast-growing company founded on stylish furniture at a value which continues to have broad consumer appeal.
“On behalf of the board of directors,” Sullivan continued, “I extend our gratitude to Roger and Bo for their many contributions to Southern Motion and Fusion Furniture and look forward to continuing to work with them in their new roles to support the strategic direction of Southern Furniture Inds.”

Weber joined the company in 2018 as CFO and was subsequently promoted to COO the following year, then to president in September 2020.
“Working with Mark the past three years helping prepare him for this role has been one of the highlights of my career,” Bland said. “He is a great leader and family man and will do an outstanding job in moving this company forward. I have had 42 wonderful years in the furniture business and look forward to my new role, which will allow me to spend more time with my family and friends while continuing to be involved with my furniture family.”
Robbins said that with the integration of Fusion Furniture into Southern Furniture Inds. at a good stage and the pandemic easing, the timing is perfect for his transition.
“I am extremely confident that Mark Weber is not only well-prepared to take over the reins, but equipped to take our company to greater and greater heights,” Robbins said. “I look forward to remaining involved and supporting the strategic growth of the company.”
