NEW YORK – Rental furniture company Feather is expanding its services to five cities in Texas on June 1 and is now offering outdoor furniture through its partnership with West Elm.
The company will be adding the cities of Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio to its service area, marking Feather’s first move to the Southern U.S. Residents in more than 900 ZIP codes will soon have access to Feather’s assortment of furniture, art and rugs.
“At Feather, we work hard to provide a seamless rental experience for a new generation who values flexibility, sustainability and affordability in their home furnishings,” said Jay Reno, Feather founder and CEO. “Where and how we live has changed so much over the past year. We’re excited to meet new and native Texans where they are during this transitional period.”
In partnership with West Elm, Feather also recently expanded its product offerings to include outdoor furniture including patio furniture and warm-weather accessories. Part of the collection is the Indio six-piece sectional which seats up to five people and includes fade-resistant Sunbrella cushions, all is available for $215 a month. The sectional can be paired with a matching coffee table, which is available for $27 a month.
Reno said Feather’s furniture is grounded in calm neutrals and punctuated by pops of colors and patterns, and is able to respond to the needs of its customers by offering storage and multipurpose functionality.
Over the past year, Feather said it has seen a 400% increase in demand for home office items and a 260% increase in demand for items such as sofas, chairs and beds as people are spending more time at home.
In addition to the new Texas metro areas, Feather currently serves customers in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, Calif., Washington D.C., Baltimore and Richmond.
