The annual ordinance that allows the Borough to exceed the municipal budget appropriation limits and to establish a CAP Bank.
“A “cap bank” allows the governing body to “bank” the permission it was given to spend a certain amount of money in one year, but which was not actually spent, for use in subsequent years.”
ORDINANCE NO. 2021-5 (Easement for South Parking Lot for Wood-Ridge Athletic Complex)

ORDINANCE NO. 2021-6 (Private Sale of Surplus Property)

The property, at the corner of 4th Street and Fritsch Avenue is currently vacant serves as a buffer between 4th Street and the rear yards of three homes on Rose Street. The Borough is selling a piece of the property (50 feet by 30 feet and having no frontage on any street) to a private resident for the purpose of expanding their back yard.
ORDINANCE NO. 2021-7 (Establishes Fire Department and Emergency Squad as separate agencies)
An ordinance to amend the Wood-Ridge code to make the Fire Department and Emergency Squad completely independent of each other. According to Borough Administrator Christopher Eilert, the idea came from the two chiefs. They noted that there are people who wish to volunteer, but have particular interest or skill sets in one department, but not the other. This ordinance would allow them to join without having to meet the conditions and training for both departments.
ORDINANCE 2021-8 (Approving Application Agreement)

All six of the ordinances will be held for second and final hearing at the April 7 meeting of the Wood-Ridge Council, or the next meeting thereafter if the meeting is postponed.
