WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WAOW) -- Sheriff's deputies with Wood County say one person was in serious condition after they snuck a razor blade into a court hearing and began injuring themselves during the proceedings.
Wood County Sheriff Shawn Becker says deputies were called to the Wood County Courthouse Branch 2 at around 2PM Tuesday afternoon for a man causing a disturbance.
He says a man who was due for a court hearing snuck a razor blade into the courthouse. During the hearing, he began openly cutting himself, resulting in serious injuries. Wood County deputies were able to secure the scene and began administering first aid until paramedics arrived.
That man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The incident is under investigation, but there is no danger to the public.
