Oneal Wood, prominent and well respected owner of Wood Sales in Golden, died Wednesday, Oct. 28 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.
Wood founded Wood Sales Company in 1968. The business grew to become one of the country’s largest tool and equipment wholesalers. Wood was known for mentoring young entrepreneurs both within and outside his family.
Services for Wood were held on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Belmont. He was 77 years old.
