Members of Wood-Ridge Police Department PBA Local 313 accepted the donation including Sergeant Jeff Geisler, Patrolman Rob Cangialosi, Patrolman and PBA Delegate Mark Torsiello, and Detective and PBA President David Marchitelli. The donation will go to the department's vest fund.

Father Richard Mucowski, OFM, accepted the donation on behalf of Assumption Church.

The Wood-Ridge Public Education Foundation was represented by officers Nina Kedersha, vice president, and Bonnie Taylor, secretary, and board member David Taylor. According to Kedersha, teachers and administrators can submit a grant request for academic related expenses such as new technology, subscription or other resources. The group was founded seven years ago.

"We are prepared to help with funding when a teacher’s vision or solution to a problem is not in the current year’s school budget," she said. "We recently provided students with Tumblebooks subscription from Mr Albro’s (principal at Doyle School) grant request."

The donations were presented by Spencer Savings Bank branch manager Elaine Blondek.
