WOOD COUNTY (WAOW)- The Wood County Health Department has received notification of possible exposures where people have tested positive for COVID-19 and visited establishments during their infectious period.
The health department said an individual who tested positive was at Jennings in Wisconsin Rapids on July 18th and may have had close contact with others.
Health officials are working to determine how many people may have become infected and are contacting others with whom the person with the positive result had close contact with.
They say say an individual who tested positive was at Perkins in Wisconsin Rapids on 7/21 from 4:00-12 pm and 7/23 from 4:00- 8 pm.
Perkins was closed Saturday for deep cleaning and will do temperature and symptom checks on all employees daily.
Ill employees are not allowed to come to work.
They are requiring employees to wear a mask, sanitize commonly touched surfaces hourly and seat customers at every other table to maintain 6 feet distance.
They are report that an individual tested positive was at Wisconsin Rapids Aquatic Center on 7/21 and 7/22 from 1:00-6:30 pm and the Wisconsin Rapids Skate Park on 7/21 and 7/22 from 6:30- 8 pm.
